About Me
What Is MAB?
You're probably wondering what 'MAB' thing is all about. It's nothing special, just my initials.
This Site
This site is an attempt to try to give something back to the community that I have learned so much from. If it wasn't for those kind people who shared their hard work, I wouldn't be half as good at computer related stuff as I am now. Under the source section of this site you'll find some source code I have written, and under the software section you'll find some open-source applications I have written.
Who Am I?
My name is Michael Bianco, I'm 100% Italian and proud of it (as most Italians are). My Catholic faith is an integral part of my life; without God, the sacraments, and my church community I wouldn't be where I am right now. Community service is a big part of my life. I find that the more you give to the needy the more you find out who you are and what you're meant for - namely loving others unselfishly. I'm currently involved in ministry to the youth and homeless. Currently residing in the United States, I enjoy a plethora of outdoor activities. My favorite being snowboarding, biking, sailing, and soccer.
Music is a huge part of my life. I play guitar, bass, and bit of drums. My equipment consists of: Line 6 Spider III & Fender 212R guitar amps, Pearl Forum drum set & Sabian symbals, and a cheapy fender & ibanez acoustic guitar. I love to enjoy lots of different music, some of my favorite recently are: Dispatch, Braddigan, State Radio, U2, Coldplay, Barefoot Truth, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, The Fray, Jars Of Clay, Perpetual Groove, Brandon Musser, Matt Maher, Dave Matthews, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and The Beautiful Girls.
I love web and application development; it never gets boring. It seems like there are new technologies and trends emerging on a monthly basis, there is always something new to learn. I love problem solving and creating new applications. I thrive on challenge; give me a programming challenge or problem and I'll figure out a solution. In addition to computer programming I also have a academic interest in Mathematics and Economics. Hopefully one day I can integrate my interests in economics and mathematics into my daily work.
I run OS X 10.5 on a MacBook Pro & 10.4 on a nearly 10 year old Sawtooth G4. I enjoy programming for the Mac using Objective-C and the Cocoa framework. I have created a couple of open-source applications along with two shareware applications.
That about sums it up. If your interested in having me tackle a web or application development project for you, take a look at my freelance site as well as my resume to look at previous work I have completed.
